When you are two your bones harden.

I hope for things — my scapula turning
into wings opening and closing.

We are valves opening and closing.
Body becomes a place — a storage

for memories between shoulder blades.

Heaviness — harder to open and close arms
opening and closing

opening and closing — your body,

supposed to be a home
you have nowhere to return.

Opening — wrapped in bone.
